Prints of Wm. J. Carpenter’s water color paintings of Florida scenes have been donated to Friends of the SummerHavenRiver for their fund raising silent auction this weekend.

This event is being staged to raise interest and funding to restore the SummerHaven River to its natural path. This once thriving and historic waterway was allowed to silt completely closed after three major storm events occurring in 2008 when pristine fishing, recreational, and residential territory was demolished.  For more on this effort to restore this valuable natural asset for coming generations go to www.friendsofthesummerhavenriver.org/

The benefit will be held Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, 3:30-7:00 at the Hammock Wine & Cheese Shoppe, Hammock, Palm Coast (just south of and opposite Publix), Hwy AIA.

For more information call 904 461 3495.
